10 KW Solar Inverter Testing

We tested a 10 kW Solar Inverter at full load yesterday as we tried to measure the power derating with an increase in temperature.
The solar inverter , Power Inverter , Hybrid Inverter , Pure Sine Wave Inverter work for the solar system house hold .
What we expected to find :

- The 10 kW inverter when given 10 kW DC input, would generate 9.9 kW of AC power at an ambient temperature of 25 deg C

- This output power would stay constant for how many ever hours we run the test, given that the ambient temp. stays the same.

- As we increase the ambient temp. from 25 to 45 deg C we expect that the heat sink continues to dissipate heat effectively and the power output is maintained at 9.9 kW.

- Beyond 45 deg C the inverter would start to derate progressively as is mentioned by all inverter manufacturers.

- At 55 deg C the power output would be limited to 50%

- At 60 deg C the inverter would shut off.
